Richard lead a road tour from that started at Myers in Kanata, travelling up the old Highway 17 along the Ottawa River through Arnprior, Braeside, and the countryside to Beachburg, were at the Hen House we met up with the some members of the Valley Vettes club. From there we travelled to the eastern fringe of Pembroke, then across the interprovincial bridge to Allumettes Island. We ended up at Karen and Richard’s cottage where we enjoyed a barbeque and potluck luncheon. The little bit of rain did not discourage us. The view from the cottage was spectacular, food and drinks were great. We spent time relaxing overlooking the lake and river. Some even waded into the water to cool off.
