President’s Message:
Just one year ago we were on the edge of celebrating the most significant event in the history of the Capital Corvette Club; it’s 50thAnniversary. On the weekend of June 6th, 7th & 8th, 2025 the Club held an absolutely GALA event including road tours, a show and shine, a Friday night get together, a group picture and drone video, a spectacular banquet with honourary guest speaker, Ron Fellows and the remarkable “Eddie & the Stingrays” to help us party through he evening! Definitely an event for the memory book!
The 2026 year has started very well, and we have many more memorable events planned for 2026. Turnout at our events has been excellent and our Club membership continues to grow. Watch for your punch bowl invitations and if you have an idea for a tour or event, please let us know. We welcome new ideas!
And speaking of a new idea. Our own Chelsea Walsh is teaming up with Guy Legace as Team # 114 to run the 2026 GUM BALL 3000 road rally. Leaving Miami on June 4th, the rally will make its way across 3,000 miles of the United States and end in Mexico City on June 12th. The rally has over a hundred super and exotic cars participating this year. This is a momentous event; stay tuned for Chelsea’s updates on our WhatsApp channel. Best of Luck Chelsea and Guy!
Social Committee – Upcoming Events:
The Social Events Calendar for 2026 is still actively being planned. We already have events in the planning stages, but we are always open for new ideas and suggestions. If you have been thinking of leading a cruise or suggesting an event but have not done so yet, this is an excellent opportunity to volunteer. Ideas do not have to be massive; a pretty spring drive with a picnic or food truck stop is the ideal start to the new season. If you are interested, please send an email to:

If you would like further information on the Ottawa Car Show scene, the following link is on our “Events” page below the calendar on our web site. These are not generally Club sanctioned events but you may find some that are to your liking. Feel free to attend yourself or to organize an independent group to attend together. Our WhatsApp link for Ottawa Car Shows is perfect for organizing this type of event.
Please Note: You must be Registered and Paid for 2026 in order to attend the following events. This is both our Bylaw and Insurance requirements. Only those meeting these criteria will be listed on the Punch Bowl invitations to our Club events.
Concorso D’Eleganza – A very special event is being held in Ottawa on June 19th. The Ferrari Club of Ottawa is holding a Concorso D’Eleganza on the Queen Elizabeth Driveway adjacent to Dow’s Lake and the Capital Corvette Club has been invited to participate. About 10 Corvettes and their owners have received invitations to participate in this year’s event and some of them will in fact be participating in the professional judging of their cars. We encourage everyone who has some free time on that day to drop by to view the cars and enjoy all the festivities of the event. It promises to be a great show!

- Myers Dealership Cruise-in – June 17th – Punch Bowl has been sent;
- Merrickville Car Show – June 28th – Punch Bowl – Punch Bowl to be sent
- Renaud Pulled Pork Road Tour and Pot Luck – July 11th– Punch Bowl to be sent;
- Westport Car Show – July 18th – Punch Bowl has been sent;
- Corvette Cruise Nights – Bean Chevrolet in Carleton Place – July 22nd – Punch Bowl to be sent;
- Bruce Dwyer and Laural Jones BBQ – July 25th – Punch Bowl to be sent;
- Niagara on the Lake Wineries Tour – September 16 to 18 – Punch Bowl to be sent
We still have many more events to be posted!
Please respond Yes or No to Punchbowl invites so that organizers have an accurate number of attendees. If something changes and you are not able to attend after you have already responded “Yes”, please go back and change your response to “No”. This is especially important for events where there is a cost. If you do not cancel before the deadline, we will not be able to issue a refund.
Membership:
Registration is always open and instructions on how to register are included on our Website.
Registration for 2026 currently stands at 80 Members. We are always looking for new Members. If you know someone who might be interested please invite them to join.

Ongoing work continues to make improvements to the Web Site and our Registration System.
Don’t forget to sign up for our WhatsApp communication link. This is a great place to reach out to fellow members for planning car shows and the like. We have recently added a sub link to the general Club link that is to be used exclusively for announcing and arranging attendance at Car shows and Cruise Nights that are not part of our Punch Bowl invitations.

CCC Clothing & Other Branding Items:
New items have been added to our online catalogue. If any Members are looking for specific items of clothing that they would like added to the webstore please let us know by sending an email to:
Ordering is easy. Pick what you want, add your preferences (colour, size, arm logo, etc.), pay and have it delivered to your door (at an additional cost). You can also choose to pick up your order at the Gadar office (1120 Morrison Drive, Unit 1).
We also have Club pins for distribution and sale. Pins are a great way to identify with the Capital Corvette Club. Put one in your hat or other piece of clothing and buy another one to trade with people you meet along the road! All Registered Members will get a pin as part of their Membership. Additional Pins will be on sale for $5 each.
Our webstore is always open. Show your pride in this great Club! Wear our logo and tell others how much fun we have.
