President’s Message:
As I am writing this Newsletter it is almost 10 degrees outside. The snow is melting off the driveway, I can start to see my deck again and hope is building within me that we are going to have an early spring. Well I can dream can’t I? 😊
For those of you who have not yet Registered for the 2026 Season, this will be your final communication from the Club until you decide to Register. Effective March 1st all our mailing lists have been changed to include only Members and Co-Members who have registered and paid their fees for 2026. Our early bird registration deadline of February 28, 2026 has passed and the $110 registration fee for the 2026 Season is now in effect.
We do not want to lose you as Members. You can still Register through our Web Site (Member’s Portal) but do so soon so as not to miss any of the great events we have planned for 2026. And remember that our Annual General Meeting of the Capital Corvette Club is coming up soon. You must be a Registered Member / Co-Member for 2026 in order to attend.
Social Committee – Upcoming Events:
The Social Events Calendar for 2026 is still actively being planned. We already have events planned for 2026 but we are always open for new ideas and suggestions.

- Cruise-In Dining at the Hometown Sports Grill – March 11th – Punch Bowl has been sent and excellent response to date;
- Darts Tournament and Pot Luck Dinner – March 21st – Punch has been sent and excellent response to date;
- Cruise-In Dining and Annual General Meeting – April 15th – Punch Bowl to be sent;
- Bowling Social – April 18th – Punch Bowl to be Sent;
- Steering for Steer Friends Car Show, Stouffville, ON – June 13th – Punch Bowl has been sent
We still have many more events to be posted!
Please respond Yes or No to Punchbowl invites so that organizers have an accurate number of attendees. If something changes and you are not able to attend after you have already responded “Yes”, please go back and change your response to “No”. This is especially important for events where there is a cost. If you do not cancel before the deadline, we will not be able to issue a refund.
Membership:
2026 Registration is fully open and instructions have been sent to all Members. Our Early Bird Draw is over and the Winner will be announced at the Annual General Meeting in April. Register soon so that you do not miss any of our activities!
Note: It is important to keep your profile information current (member and co-member). You can update your personal information any time throughout the year by accessing your profile by logging into the Member’s Portal.

Miscellaneous Items:
A former Member of the Club, Bruce Richardson, has informed us that he has about 30 magazines on Corvettes from the 80’s and 90’s that he is looking to pass on to someone who might be interested. Bruce had a 1968 Corvette Convertible. He has a couple of door parts for that car that were never installed that are also available for anyone who might be interested.
